BECAUSE OF AND IN SPITE OF - Sometimes all you need is a death metal vampire.

Dr. Amador approaches problems as if they are puzzles and believes none are unsolvable, but when the problem she faces includes her girlhood idol and monsters of legend, she must choose between finding a solution and finding herself.

When a former Death Metal icon finally frees himself from the vampire who abducted him, he tries to navigate his way back to the life he thought he’d lost. On the journey will he find love with the brilliant research scientist who reminds him of his past, or will he make a future with the fellow vampire who escaped with him? Or can he do both?

The focus of this non-traditional romance centers on feelings of displacement and alienation as a common ground between people of disparate backgrounds. The characters learn about themselves and learn to love within the context of a world of vampires.
